Leadership

Madara Mason

Madara Mason's hats include painter, graphic designer, Instructional Designer, faculty educator, English Instructor, food blogger, and Oxford Comma Aficionado. If she's not in front of an easel, she's in front of a screen, or in front of a classroom. Her motto is "If you're not having fun, you're probably doing it wrong."

We created the CITE Fellows because we believe that true leadership and innovation must come from the faculty of UAF, and it can’t be systematized or planned. CITE Fellows is meant to be a support system rather than a prescriptive structure. We give them access to Instructional Designers and their expertise (curriculum design, web design, graphic design, software and web tool training, media equipment know-how, etc.); places to communicate and reflect in an asynchronous environment to handle their busy schedules; and advocacy from our management team when they meet administrative and bureaucratic roadblocks.

If you’re interested in becoming a CITE Fellow, please talk to your Department Chair or Dean and ask them to nominate you. More information on the nomination process is available here.
